Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ:FRPT) today announced that its vehicle production and delivery numbers again reached record highs in January. The leading armored vehicle manufacturer delivered more than 60 vehicles to the U.S. government last month alone.

The Cougar Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Rapid Response Vehicle (JERRV) and Iraqi Light Armored Vehicle (ILAV) programs led production numbers. U.S. armed forces have used the Cougar JERRV in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2004. The Cougar ILAV, which is produced with BAE Systems as prime contractor and Force Protection as subcontractor, was first delivered in 2006.

"Our January deliveries are reflective of aggressive ramp up efforts," said Force Protection Vice President for Program Management Damon Walsh. "We also look forward to our first MRAP deliveries to the government early in February, as we add this vitally important product line and continue to expand deliveries."

Force Protection's Buffalo and Cougar mine-protected vehicles have been deployed in the global war on terror since 2003, and have an unmatched record for safety, mobility, and sustainability over more than 2 million hours of heavy combat operations.

"The uniformed war fighter is our most important customer," said COO Raymond Pollard. "He has asked for the life-saving blast protection technology incorporated in our vehicles. We are clearly demonstrating the ability to provide this solution through Force Protection's efforts and the efficient use of our production partners."

Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ:FRPT) today announced that its Buffalo and Cougar blast- and ballistic-protected vehicles have logged more than two million hours of combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan since their initial deployment in 2003.

Due to their V-shaped steel hull design and cutting-edge blast protection technology, Force Protection's vehicles have established an unmatched record for troop safety in the face of thousands of attacks from improvised explosive devices (IEDs), land mines, and roadside bombs.

"This is an important milestone we mark today," said Force Protection Vice President for Program Management Damon Walsh. "It is representative of two important facts: first, that the vehicles are of the highest quality and are built to last; second, that our troops on the ground can count on them as the best possible defense against IEDs and other explosive threats. We are gratified to know that these vehicles are saving lives and are committed to making sure many more are available to protect our troops for millions of hours of combat operations to come."

Force Protection has experienced significant growth in the past year. The company presented more than 50 vehicles to the U.S. government in December 2006 alone, a 300 percent increase from vehicle deliveries in December 2005. With recently announced partnering agreements with other defense industry leaders such as Armor Holdings (NYSE:AH) and General Dynamics Land Systems (NYSE:GD), vehicle production is expected to increase even more dramatically.

Force Protection, Inc. Marks Major '06 Milestones, New Vehicle Production Record in December

Leading U.S. armored vehicle manufacturer Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRPT) continued to record substantial growth in contracts, vehicle deliveries, workforce, production capacity, and strategic partnerships during 2006, the company said today.

Force Protection's Buffalo and Cougar blast- and ballistic-protected vehicles marked more than three years in combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan in the past year. There are over 300 vehicles currently deployed, more than double the number at the beginning of 2006.

"It has been an important and remarkable year for the company," said CEO Gordon McGilton. "We continue to reap the rewards of restructuring efforts begun in 2003 to become a high-volume assembly-line manufacturer with the capacity to produce the world's best protected vehicles in the numbers needed."

"Built on the foundation of partnerships with other leading defense contractors such as General Dynamics Land Systems, BAE Systems, and Armor Holdings, and the exponential expansion of our workforce and manufacturing infrastructure, Force Protection is positioned to meet the increasing demands for our blast protection technology as never before," said Chairman Frank Kavanaugh.

Force Protection's workforce has increased to more than 700, up from 300 in January 2005. The company delivered more than 50 vehicles in December 2006 alone, a 300% increase from December 2005.

"Our records show that we produced more vehicles last month than in all of 2003 and 2004 combined," added McGilton.

Total contract awards for the year have also multiplied, due in large part to a $214 million contract award from the Marine Corps Systems Command for approximately 280 Cougar Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Rapid Response Vehicles (JERRV) and Buffalo mine-protected clearance vehicles announced November 10, 2006.

Force Protection received a $180 million Foreign Military Sales contract from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command to manufacture 378 Iraqi Light Armored Vehicles (ILAVs). Force Protection is acting as subcontractor, with BAE Systems as prime contractor on the award announced June 5, 2006.

The company also marked expansion into the international defense market during 2006, with a $63 million dollar contract award from the British Ministry of Defense (MOD) for more than 85 specially designed Cougars, known by the British military as Mastiff Protected Patrol Vehicles (Mastiff PPV). The first round of Mastiff PPVs were presented to the MOD ahead of schedule on November 16, 2006.

In December 2006, Force Protection and General Dynamics announced a joint venture company, Force Dynamics, which was formed to compete for the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle program managed by the U.S. Marine Corps. The MRAP competitive action for the first year's estimated requirement of 4,100 vehicles has an approximate value of $2 billion.

The company has continued to expand its integrated logistics support (ILS) department and anticipates that this will be a further source of revenue in 2007. ILS is responsible for order fulfillment on spare parts, contract services and maintenance and training, as well as the deployment of Force Protection field service representatives. ILS revenues are expected to exceed $42 million for 2006.

"By every measure, Force Protection is fulfilling its commitment to do all that is necessary to get these life-saving vehicles to those who need them most," noted McGilton. "From the military to the media to the federal government, our vehicles are recognized as a proven solution to the threat of improvised explosive devices, land mines, and road side bombs. No other vehicle lines match those of Force Protection for troop safety. It is because of their performance in the field that the company continues to experience such phenomenal growth."

"We look forward to continuing this vital work for our customers in 2007," said Kavanaugh. "We are also excited at the opportunities to expand our business model and provide the best possible return for our shareholders."

Continuing strong demand for Force Protection, Inc.'s (OTCBB:FRPT) armored vehicles was highlighted today as the manufacturer announced another delivery order from the U.S. Marine Corps worth an estimated $69 million for 100 additional Cougar Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Rapid Response Vehicles (JERRV). The order marks the fulfillment of a sole source contract previously announced and awarded to Force Protection on November 9, 2006.

More than 300 Force Protection vehicles are currently in the field, and have an unmatched record for troop safety in the face of improvised explosive devices, land mines and roadside bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan. Popular with explosive ordnance disposal teams and other first response units who credit the vehicles with saving their lives, the vehicles incorporate a V-shaped hull design that deflects the force of blasts away from passengers.

"Our vehicles have set the standard for blast protection," said Force Protection CEO Gordon McGilton. "Thousands of incidents in the global war on terror show that Force Protection's proven blast protection technology saves the lives of our troops on the ground who constantly face explosive threats. We are gratified to know that many more vehicles will be deployed in support of their critical mission. This order once again confirms that the investments we have been making to increase our capacity will prove to be time and money well-spent."

The ILS division focuses on the maintenance and replacement parts support of the Company's Buffalo and Cougar blast- and ballistic-protected vehicles deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The vehicles have been delivered to the U.S. government in record numbers in the past year as the Company has implemented major production capacity and workforce expansion programs.

"The ILS division of Force Protection has had a huge year," said ILS Vice President Murray Hammick. "We believe we will have approximately $44 million in ILS revenues for 2006. Our total revenues in 2005 were approximately $8.5 million, as compared to approximately $35 million in revenues to date in 2006. Clearly, demand for our vehicles is increasing and the demand for our support services is growing along with it."

Logging more than 1.6 million hours of combat operations, Force Protection vehicles have withstood thousands of mine detonations and IED attacks since 2003 without a single fatality.

"The increase in ILS operations reflects a greater number of vehicles in operation," said Warranty Supervisor and retired Army First Sergeant Don Cowart. "Given the mission these vehicles fill, we anticipate the need for support services will continue to rise."

Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRPT) today announced it has reached an agreement with the Aerospace & Defense Group of Armor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AH) to join in the production of Force Protection's Cougar medium mine-protected vehicle.

Force Protection will be the prime contractor under the agreement, with Armor Holdings as principal subcontractor, using its Sealy, Texas based capacity and core expertise in the automotive integration and assembly of the vehicle.

"Force Protection's commitment has always been to get the life-saving technology incorporated in the Cougar and our other vehicles out to the field in the numbers needed," said Force Protection CEO Gordon McGilton. "This partnering agreement is an important step to ensure this takes place, especially in light of the increasing demand for the vehicle. We are extremely pleased to work with a company of the breadth and depth of Armor Holdings as we continue to fulfill this objective."

Force Protection's Cougar vehicle has been deployed since 2004 in the global war on terror. Despite more than 1,000 mine detonations and IED attacks, not a single fatality has occurred in a Force Protection vehicle.
Robert Schiller, President of Armor Holdings, Inc., said, "Force Protection's Cougar armored vehicle has a proven record of saving lives. Armor Holdings has a proven record of economically supplying world class quality tactical wheeled vehicles in high volumes, and we are very pleased to be working with Force Protection toward getting this critical capability to our troops."

The understanding between the companies is effective as of November 11, 2006. Force Protection has delivered more than 300 blast- and ballistic-protected vehicles to the U.S. government since 2003.

Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRPT) today presented the first round of Cougar Mastiff Patrol Protected vehicles (Mastiff PPV) to the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) at Force Protection's headquarters near Charleston, SC. Force Protection is manufacturing specially modified Cougar vehicles, known in Great Britain as the Mastiff, for the MOD.

These are the first vehicles delivered under a contract awarded by the MOD in August 2006 for more than 85 Mastiff PPVs.

"It is an honor to have our British allies with us today," said CEO Gordon McGilton. "This presentation is three weeks ahead of schedule, with more vehicles to follow. Force Protection is extremely pleased at the efficiency with which this contract is being fulfilled as we work to provide British armed forces with this life-saving technology."

First deployed in 2004 with the U.S. Marine Corps, Force Protection's Cougar and other mine-protected vehicles have an unmatched safety record in Iraq and Afghanistan. British Secretary of State for Defense Des Browne told Parliament in July that the Cougar meets his country's requirements for a well-protected, wheeled vehicle.

"Our marines are your moms and dads, sisters and brothers, and friends," U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Dave Karcher told a crowd of workers and military officials. "I want you to know that what you do makes a difference for them."

The U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command is managing the Mastiff contract through the Department of Defense.

Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB: FRPT) today announced sales of $42,160,858 as part of its third quarter results for the three-month period ended September 30, 2006. The company recorded a quarterly gross profit of $7,918,508, and a net profit of $602,698 for the same period. Force Protection has realized year-to-date net profits of $1,171,080, generating year-to-date earnings of $0.03 per share.

"This is Force Protection's third consecutive month of operating profitability," said Vice President of Finance Richard Hamilton. "Sales for the quarter bring our 2006 cumulative year-to-date revenue total to $133,037,980, reflecting a dramatic increase from our 2005 full-year results."

Force Protection was recently named South Carolina's Fastest-Growing Company in 2006. The award, based on gross revenues and employment, recognizes the top 25 companies that have contributed to the state's economy. Since their initial deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan in 2003, no fatalities have occurred in a Force Protection vehicle.

"The third quarter was a period of internal growth for the company," said CEO Gordon McGilton. "We added two new vehicle production lines, improved efficiency within the facilities, and continued our workforce expansion program. The focus on these activities caused an anticipated short-swing dip in our third quarter revenue compared with our second quarter results, but it has positioned us to secure new contracts and handle the increased workload flowing from them."

I just got out of the Force Protection presentation in New York City and I have to say, what a great conference this has been. Being back in the "Big Apple" has been awesome but hearing from FRPT has been even better.

I can't believe how much attention one Company has received. When we first discovered Force Protection, Inc., it was hard to find anyone interested in the company and now everyone wants a piece of them. The demand for their vehicles has never been greater and management is keeping up with the orders. What is not to love about this company?

With new contracts from the British Forces as well as the Iraqi National Army, the demand for the "Buffalo" and the "Cougar" armored vehicles has never been greater. Still considered an early stage growth company, 2005 started the real growth. Growing from 16 employees to over 540 and manufacturing facilities increasing to over 500,000 square feet.

The Market for vehicles that could withstand the blasts from "IED'S" was not recognized early. Force Protection has addressed this market by offering a "Highly Survivable Vehicle" to the market. Meaning, bringing our troops home safely.

All FRPT Vehicles are repairable in the field and are shipped with spare parts. 4 Buffalo's are shipped every month and 20 Cougar's. Now with a need for more vehicles the company continues to ramp up in order to meet demand. With the Military looking to replace the "Hummer" Force Protection will be the vehicle of choice.

There is no direct competitor, especially for the Buffalo and the Cougar seems to be the vehicle of choice. Take a look at the most recent financial statements and you can see for yourself how far the company has come.

I know from what I saw that money managers and investment bankers where blown away by the attention this company received and the potential that awaits. We began covering this stock when it was trading at $2.00 and had many opportunities to take profits, but can't seem to pull the trigger, with so much great news. Remember NASDAQ should be achievable soon and you know what happens then. Look Out!
